Welp, Wyoming is done and I am now in Colorado. The new state hasn’t been the nicest with the return of the mountains bringing bad weather and steep climbs. Not all is bad though. Yesterday I had a pleasent surprise when two other thru hikers, Zen and Ice Cream ran into me while I was having lunch. I hadn’t seen the two since a little after Butte, Mt, or close to two months. We ended up staying together all the way into town. Even getting to experience our first snow storms of the CDT together.
I also entered a new national park for myself: Rocky Mountain National Park. We didn’t actually visit any of the touristy bits as we decided to prioritize making it to the town of Grand Lake.
Otherwise there hasn’t been much of note from this last while. I’m much recovered from my 24 hour challenge and I got to enjoy the free hobo hotsprings in Saratoga, Wy. Anyway, here’s some other views 🙂
